Kristen Stewart was allowed to admire new Chanel creations on the catwalk all by himself. The fashion house invited her as the only guest to the show.

The French fashion house Chanel had to come up with something special for the presentation of this year's "Métiers d'Art Show 2020/21": Due to the Corona requirements in France, only one VIP guest was allowed to experience the show in the front row. The choice fell on the longstanding ambassador and friend of the fashion house Kristen Stewart (30, "Charlie's Angels"). The actress took a seat in a large hall of the Château de Chenonceau in the French Loire Valley. At the end of the show, creative director Virginie Viard (58) celebrated with a standing ovation, as an Instagram clip of the presentation shows.

The castle served not only as an event location, but also as a source of inspiration for the creations. Also known as "Le Château des Dames" (Ladies 'Castle) lived on Chenonceau, among others, Caterina de' Medici, who brought the splendor of the Renaissance to the residence. Your emblem is immortalized in numerous decorative elements of the castle: The two intertwined Cs are reminiscent of the double C of the French fashion house.

Every December since 2002, Chanel has presented a collection dedicated to the "Métiers d'Art". "It underlines the creative dialogue between Virginie Viard and the Maisons d'Art, who masterfully complete the creations of Chanel," says the fashion house's website. The prêt-à-porter collection thus celebrates the skills of artisans such as the stickers from Lesage or the feather jewelry makers from Lemarié. It is about the 38 craft businesses that Chanel has gradually bought since the 1980s.
