American actress Kristen Stewart was chosen to play Lady Diana in a biopic. A bold choice!

Director Pablo Larrain chose the former star of Twilight to embody the Princess of Wales in her next film whose title is Spencer. The film is scheduled for 2021 and the director is already looking forward to directing the actress during this already highly anticipated biopic: "Kristen can be so many things, she can be very mysterious and fragile and then ultimately extremely strong. This is what we needed. The combination of all of these made me think of her. " did he explain to Deadline.
So how will this feature film be constructed? The director explains to Deadline that it will not be a question of going back over all of Lady Diana's life. Pablo Larrain wants to focus on three days, those which preceded his divorce from Prince Charles, during the Christmas holidays. At the time, the couple were in their home in Sandringham. The filmmaker seems to want to highlight Lady Di's desire for emancipation. He explains how he wishes to deconstruct the myth of the princess through this film, shattering the stereotypes of fairy tales: "We all grow, at least my generation, by reading and understanding what a fairy tale is. In general, the prince comes, finds the princess, offers to become his wife and she ends up becoming queen. it’s a fairy tale. But when someone decides not to become queen and says “I prefer to become myself”, it’s an incredible decision, a fairy tale inside out. was surprised by this and I think it’s very brave to do it. Shooting is planned for the beginning of 2021. We will therefore have to be patient to discover the first images of this already awaited biopic.
