“Krone” heartfelt person – 25 years of dialysis: loving care from mom

Anna Leeb (85) looks after her sick son Michael. By being nominated for the “Krone” heartfelt campaign, he wants to say thank you to his mom!

59-year-old Michael Leeb from Glanegg has been a dialysis patient for 25 years. After two donor kidneys, which his body unfortunately rejected again after a short time, Michael now has to go to the hospital three times a week and is dependent on help: “My mom has been looking after me since I was sick – that’s an honor!” That’s why he has his Mama Anna was nominated as a person of the heart: “I thought he was just having fun,” says the 85-year-old happily. Anna looks after her son and helps him in everyday life: “But it’s exactly the same the other way around,” emphasizes the sprightly woman from Glanegg. “Michi helps me fill out forms or when I have difficulties with the technology.” In any case, together they make a good team. “We’re just happy that we can cope with Michael’s illness ourselves and don’t need any external help,” Anna continues . For Michael she is the “best mom in the world”: “She understands me! Especially when I’m not feeling well!”
