“Krone” presented – Aufsteirern will be a big hands-on festival this year

Whether in the dance arena or in the Bradlhof – everyone is invited to dance, sing or make music at the weekend.

Dance arena: A large dance arena will be built in courtyard 1 for all dance enthusiasts and those who want to become one. Under the motto “2 left fiass”, visitors not only have the opportunity to watch the country’s best groups perform, but also to climb into the arena and shake a leg themselves. Don’t worry: In workshops, the professionals will show you how it’s done. What you have learned can be applied to open dancing. There are also taxi dancers on site. Program highlights are: the polka night on Saturday evening or the Quadrille Styrienne, so to speak the fan polonaise in Styrian. World record attempt: At the Platz der Versöhnung (Passamtswiese in the city park) a special event will start on Sunday: 1600 couples dressed in traditional costumes should dance the waltz – that would be a world record! Meeting point to “warm up” is at 10.30 a.m., we start at 11.30 a.m. Registrations are possible at www.graz.at. This is followed by a program with the Ottendorf traditional band, flag-wavers from Italy or a formation of marching bands. Bradlhof: In the courtyard of the Wiener Werkstätten on Saturday and Sunday the motto is “Singing and braddling with Styrian folk songs”. Among other things, there is a yodelling crash course for beginners, open singing and making music, bradling together, an open regulars’ table, workshops on alpine, hunter and joke songs or Paschen & Gstanzlsingen. So: come Saturday (12 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) in the city center of Graz, join in and celebrate!
