“Krone” talk in Vienna – Last Dinner Party: “It’s nice to have meaning”

You founded the band in 2020 before the pandemic broke out…
Abigail Morris:
Georgia, our guitarist Lizzie Mayland and I were constantly in the famous London pub “The Windmill”. We just like to drink and drink often. (laughs) We often talked outside in the smoking area about how we would like to form a band. And as is often the case, crazy ideas you have in the pub become reality – good for us. We all had different experiences in music and finally wanted to tackle something really serious. I was constantly writing songs that later became our debut album. Georgia and I were talking about a band, then Lizzie came along and there were three of us for a while. For a long time it was just talk and we recorded a few demos, but we met Emily through a mutual friend. Aurora later. We spent months in the rehearsal room because there was lockdown, but that’s where we were able to sharpen and practice our songs. But it has already dragged on for quite a long time.
Davies: Almost two years passed from the first idea to the first concert. That’s a huge amount of time. (laughs)
