KUMULUS VAPE: 2022 target clearly exceeded, turnover up sharply by +61%, to 55.7 M EUR – 2023 target: 63 M EUR – 02/09/2023 at 17:45

Kumulus Vape (ISIN: FR0013419876 – Mnemonic: MLVAP), an e-tailer specializing in the sale of electronic cigarettes and related products (equipment, e-liquid and accessories), grouped under the term “vape”, is currently making its revenue for the 2022 financial year.

2022: another year of strong growth

Over the year 2022, Kumulus Vape posted a turnover of nearly €55.7 million, up by more than 61% compared to the 2021 financial year, despite the deteriorated general context. This strong, totally organic growth is clearly beyond the €40 million turnover target announced a year ago, when the 2021 turnover was published, and yet already revised twice, to €42m in May then to €45m in July 2022.

Thanks to this new performance, driven by a historic second half, the company once again demonstrates the relevance of its strategy of commercial conquest in its two markets. The BtoB activity (sales to specialist shops) particularly illustrates this excellent momentum with turnover of €50.2 million (90% of total activity for the year), up +69.6% compared to compared to 2021. The company’s traditional strengths (service and support, intensified by the expansion of the sales force) explain this performance in particular.

On the BtoC market (online sales to individuals), activity was also buoyant with a +12.7% increase in turnover for the year to €5.3 million. The constant enrichment of the catalog, coupled with numerous commercial events, in particular on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the e-commerce platform, have continued to firmly establish the site www.kumulusvape.fr at the forefront of the essential players in the market. .

The deepening and multiplication of international distribution partnerships, occurring in a still sustained context of concentration, played a preponderant role in the performance of the financial year, also marked by the extension of the storage area and the optimization of the logistics route.

It should be noted that this growth is once again totally organic, the acquisition of the two store networks announced on December 22 having taken effect only a few days before the end of the past financial year. Similarly, despite encouraging performance indicators, the revenue of Second Vape, the first C2C marketplace dedicated to vaping products launched by Kumulus Vape in September 2022, is considered insignificant.

2023: a new growth target of €63 million

After having recorded an average annual growth of 79% since 2017, Kumulus Vape forecasts a new year of growth for 2023. Driven by the excellent orientation of the beginning of the year, the Company thus intends to reach a new milestone and announces a target of €63 million for 2023.

Over the coming months, Kumulus Vape will be able to rely in particular on the power of its distribution partnerships, strengthened once again at the start of the year, as well as on the development and launches of its own brands, to continue to retain its partners. and increase its share of a market itself in a situation of continuous growth despite the inflation of the costs linked to the packaging and transport of goods or the fluctuations of the euro/dollar exchange rate.

Rémi BAERT, founder and CEO of Kumulus Vape, says: ”

In 2022 again, we exceeded our targets, which were revised twice during the year. This reinforces my conviction that the offensive strategy of our hybrid model is the one that will once again guide the actions of our team in 2023 to extend our trajectory of profitable growth. This turnover of €63 million will place us at the forefront of the European market, where I still intend to become the leader in the medium term, in accordance with our initial plans.
