Disappointed Roskosmos boss rhymes for Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie makes a surprise visit to western Ukraine – which promptly provokes the ire of the head of the Russian space agency. “You, friend, have disappointed me,” he writes, and then explains to her in rhymes the advantages of the Donbass: after all, there is vodka, beer and kvass there.
The head of the Russian space agency Roskosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, has criticized Hollywood star Angelina Jolie’s visit to Lviv. “You, girlfriend, disappointed me,” he writes in a tweet that the Nexta news channel spreads.
Rogozin also wrote a poem especially for the actress and director, in which he praised the advantages of the Donbass occupied by Russian troops: “Come to us in the Donbass! There’s vodka, beer, kvass here,” he begins his lines. And apparently the embattled region has even more to offer, as Rogozin emphasizes: “We also have butter, we also have bread.”
Beauty doesn’t offend a hard soldier, Rogozin continues to write and then ends his poem with an appeal to the 46-year-old actress: “We saw you in the cinema and we would be happy to see you again.”
Rogozin was a deputy prime minister of Russia from 2011 to May 2018, before that he served as Russia’s permanent representative to NATO. He is known for nationalist slogans. He once compared NATO’s eastward expansion with Hitler’s “Drang nach Osten” (Drang to the East), and he described Georgians fleeing the war as “cockroaches”.
Even before the Russian attack on Ukraine on February 24, war was raging in eastern Ukraine. Thousands of people have died there since 2014. In the now raging Ukraine war, the Russian attacks are also concentrated on the east of the country.
Jolie’s surprise visit to Lviv
Jolie had surprisingly visited the western Ukrainian city of Lviv and met refugees there. As the city administration announced on Saturday, they visited children who had been injured in a rocket attack on the train station in Kramatorsk in eastern Ukraine. Photos show the actress hugging children. Angelina Jolie is the UN refugee agency’s special envoy. Numerous refugees from eastern Ukraine are staying in Lviv.
