- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed, on Friday evening October 21, in his daily address of the ” good results “ of his army in the strategic region of Kherson, in the south of the country. He claims that more than thirty Russian tanks were captured. On the ground, an adviser to the Ukrainian presidency, Kirill Timoshenko, reported “eighty-eight localities recaptured” to Russian forces in that region. Kherson is the first major city to fall at the start of the Russian offensive launched on February 24.
