- Russia launched several attacks on kyiv early on Sunday (November 19) for the second night in a row, the Ukrainian capital’s military administration said. According to Serhi Popko, head of the city’s military administration, Ukrainian air defense systems shot down around ten Iranian-made Shahed drones in the capital and its surroundings.
- The Ukrainian army claims to maintain its positions on the left bank of the Dnieper despite Russian attacks. In its activity report, the Ukrainian general staff saidSaturday, that its marine infantry units, supported by other components of the defense forces, had repelled twelve Russian attacks.
- A Russian strike hit an energy facility near Odessa on Saturday, causing power outages for several thousand homes. Power was gradually being restored, Ukrainian electricity supplier DTEK announced on Saturday evening.
- Russian air defense systems destroyed a Ukrainian-launched drone heading towards Moscow, the mayor of the Russian capital said early on Sunday.
- Ukraine thanks the United Kingdom and France for the provision of materials. In a video, Ukraine thanks its two allies for the Storm Shadow/Scalp missiles jointly developed by London and Paris which were used in particular during the attack against the headquarters of the command of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.
- Washington commits to providing spare parts for F-16s delivered to Ukraine. In a press release, the us department of defense recalls that the devices supplied by the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway will receive the necessary components to facilitate their maintenance and extend their operational life.
- Hundreds of people demonstrated in kyiv on Saturday against corruption demanding the reallocation of public funds to the army. On some signs, we could read: “We need drones, not stadiums.”
- A merchant ship hits a mine off the coast of Ukraine. The freighter Georgia Sa Liberian-flagged merchant ship, was lightly damaged off the coast of Ukraine after possibly being hit by a floating mine, the agency reports Reuters.
- Russian propaganda networks broadcast a false intervention by Volodymyr Zelensky. The video uses the logos of the 1 + 1 television channel and the United News news telethon; the Ukrainian president announces the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Avdiivka, false information.
