Saturday May 21, a few hours after the announcement of the agreement between Kylian Mbappé and PSG, Karim Benzema posted a rather enigmatic message on Instagram.
Is there water in the gas between Kylian Mbappé and Karim Benzema? This Saturday, to everyone’s surprise, the 23-year-old footballer announced that he was continuing his collaboration with the Parisian club, despite the growing rumors of his departure for Real Madrid in recent months. A decision that was not to the taste of Madrid fans, nor of the players of the Spanish club, many of whom expressed their dissatisfaction more or less concealed on social networks. Among the reactions, we note among others that of Karim Benzema, yet a great friend of Kylian Mbappé in the France team, who was content to post an Instagram story for the less enigmatic. Indeed, the number 9 of Real Madrid has chosen to publish a photo of rapper Tupac with one of his friends suspected of having betrayed him the day he was murdered, September 13, 1996. A reference to the “betrayal” of Kylian Mbappé? “This is not the time to talk about these little things“, replied Karim Benzema to the Movistar Plus channel before adding: “I prefer not to speak. I’m not mad, I can just tell you that I’m focused on the Champions League final which is more important than listening to anything else.”

The day before this interview, the 23-year-old footballer had spoken in several media about his relationship with his 34-year-old colleague. “We didn’t trade. I didn’t want to do too much. I know everyone was talking about Karim and Kylian, Kylian and Karim… But in the selection, we only talked about the evening meal. We weren’t talking about Real Madrid. I didn’t want to force this stuff. When we meet, we’ll discuss it. He will ask me why and I will explain this choice to him.“, explained Kylian Mbappé. Case to follow …
