La Ch’tite famille on TF1: why Dany Boon paid tribute to Johnny Hallyday in a scene from the film

When it was released in theaters in 2018, Dany Boon mentioned the link between Johnny Hallyday and his comedy “La Ch’tite famille”. On the occasion of the broadcast of the film on TF1, rediscover why and how he paid tribute to him…

Between Johnny Hallyday and Dany Boon, it was a beautiful story of friendship. “He was a big fan of my films. He liked to laughconfided Dany Boon at the microphone of RTL in 2018. When he saw my films, he told me ‘I can keep the DVD’. ‘Yes of course’. Even if the film came out 3 months later, I left him the DVD.”

In La Ch’tite famille, released in theaters in 2018 and broadcast this evening on TF1, Johnny was even expected to make a wink appearance, as the film crew explained on the set of Daily when promoting the film. “Johnny was supposed to play himself, but it couldn’t be done, details Dany Boon. He was to play in the stage at the Palais de Tokyo eventually [une scène dans laquelle plusieurs personnalités font des caméos, parmi lesquelles Kad Merad et l’animateur et producteur Arthur, Ndlr.], or do the work at his house, but it couldn’t be done.

If Johnny is not in the cast, a tribute is however paid to him at the very end of the film. “What is magnificent is that it was planned, long before the end of Johnny arrived.“, indicates Line Renaud. And Dany Boon to add: “It was to be a tribute, but not posthumous. (…) I had this idea in mind for a long time to have it at the end. At the end, there is Que je t’aime en ch’ti. Pierre sings Que j’te ker. He knew yes, I always showed him the films before. Still. He loved comedies“.”He had said ‘if it’s Pierre, I don’t mind’“, smiles Pierre Richard.
