Pontpierre, France, January 25, 2022 – La Française de l’Énergie (Euronext: FDE – ISIN: FR0013030152), a producer of energy with a negative carbon footprint, once again posted a strong growth in turnover on the 1er half of 2022, up by 127% compared to 1er semester 2021, to register for €9.1 million.

Increase in production volumes in a buoyant market environment

Income from gas production triples to settle at €4.9m thanks to a further increase in volumes (+30%) and an average gas sale price up from €11.07/MWh in H1 2021 to €37.43/MWh in H1 2022.

Revenues linked to the production of green electricity from mine gas rose sharply to €4m (+38% compared to H1 2021). This good performance is driven by the increase in volumes in the Hauts de France (+31% with in particular the contribution of the two cogeneration plants at Béthune) and favorable selling prices for Belgian electricity, reaching €86.94/MWh on the semester.

The revenue from the sale of heat, related to the Béthune project and the largest solar thermal power plant connected to a heating network in Creutzwald, amount to 195 K€ over the semester.

Revenue growth confirmed for 2022 and 2023

taking advantage of favorable market conditions, the Group has set the sale price for a large part of its volumes of gas in France and electricity in Belgium for 2022 and 2023.

The group is like this well on its way to growth thanks to the commissioning in January 2022 of 3 new cogeneration units of 1.5 MW (4.5MW) on the Anderlues site and the installation of 2 additional cogeneration units (3 MW) on the Avion site.

The mine gas capture and recovery activity now makes it possible to avoid 1.5 million tonnes of CO2eq per year, confirming the leading role of the Group in the European ecological transition.

La Française de l’Energie therefore confirms its objective of achieving a turnover

run rate of €35m and an EBITDA margin above 45% by the end of 2022.
