Like every Wednesday since the start of the school year, Augustin Trapenard presents a new issue of La Grande bookstore at 9 p.m. on France 5. This Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the one who replaced François Busnel at the head of the literary program devotes his program to the Nobel Prize for Literature 2022. Thus, the animator will receive Annie Ernaux who received the 2022 Nobel Prize for Literature for “the courage and clinical acumen with which she discovers the roots, the remoteness and the collective constraints of personal memory”. The first Frenchwoman to receive the most prestigious literary prize in the world, Annie Ernaux will be face to face with Augustin Trapenard. This will be an opportunity for her to return to her work, but above all to her commitments and positions as a woman, author and citizen. As the host specifies in the program’s trailer, the show will be full of surprises and fights.
Annie Ernaux rewarded
Philippe’s ex-girlfriend received the Nobel Prize on October 6 in Stockholm, Sweden. “I consider it a very great honor to be done to me and, for me, at the same time, a great responsibility, a responsibility given to me by giving me the Nobel Prize”, reacted the 82-year-old writer to Swedish television SVT. With this prize, Annie Ernaux becomes the 17th woman to win the Nobel Prize for Literature, and the 16th French winner since the birth of the famous awards in 1901.
The end of a great adventure for François Busnel
After 14 years of good and loyal service, 500 programs and more than 2000 guests, François Busnel passed the torch of La Grande bookstore on July 6th. “At 53, I want new challenges: making films and series, writing and shooting documentaries, producing new talents”confided the host, indicating however that he did not leave the show completely because he remains producer of the program which he created in 2008: “Every Wednesday evening, I will be in management. I am not giving up on the baby”.
