NEWS THE FIGARO – Left-wing MPs and environmentalists are counting on the institution on rue Montpensier to move towards a way out of the crisis.
A delegation of Nupes deputies will go to the Constitutional Council on April 4, learned on Tuesday Le Figaro, to defend before the members their appeal against the amending social security financing bill for 2023, containing the pension reform. According to our information, Sandrine Rousseau will be the representative of the group of ecologists, Boris Vallaud that of the socialist group and Hadrien Clouet for the Insoumis. This delegation should be received by the Secretary General of the Constitutional Council, Jean Maïa, and by several advisers.
This appeal, filed on March 21, defends that the PLFRSS “is manifestly contrary to several constitutional provisions and principles with constitutional value“: “deprivation of the impact study“, reduction “drastically“debates, provision by the government of information”insincerein Parliament… A conviction developed over several pages and which they will therefore be able to argue orally according to a not unusual procedure.
The left also counts on the RIP
In addition to this appeal, the Nupes of the Assembly and the groups of the left of the Senate are also counting a lot on the Referendum of shared initiative (RIP), tabled on March 19. It is also awaiting validation from the Constitutional Council. If confidence is in order, a concern however torments some parliamentarians because this RIP proposes to remain on a status quo of 62 years for retirement and does not question the French on a reform as such. “This constitutional procedure allowed by article 11 is not really stabilized, we walk a little in the fog“, indicates a parliamentarian.
