Every year, The post office is organizing its traditional auction of lost and unclaimed packages. The 2023 edition of the event will be held in Nantes… and once again for a good cause.

PlayStation 5, iMac M1, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, AirPods Max, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, drone, major brand coffee machine, toys, small household appliances and other collectibles… here is a brief summary of the 250 lots that La Poste will be auctioned on December 1st as part of its annual sale of lost and unclaimed packages.

The opportunity to score good deals by going in person to the Nantes auction house (24 rue du Marché commun), or by bidding online.

A 2023 edition more interesting than in 2022?

Like last year, La Poste’s charity auction can be followed online from the Interencheres.com website. A particularity which is not necessarily to the taste of regulars of the event, underline our colleagues from Lemon Press.

Last year, this auction, which could already be attended in person or online, was indeed marked by a much faster surge in prices compared to previous editions, which were deprived of digital versions.

We must therefore expect that, this year again, the deals to be made will be a little less attractive than in the past. However, the starting prices remain attractive and the lots are no less so.

An auction for a good cause

As mentioned above, this auction of lost and unclaimed packages is dedicated to a good cause. La Poste indicates that all profits made as part of this event will be donated to the Association of Families of Disabled Children (AFEH) of La Poste and Orange.

The opportunity to have fun at a lower cost (hopefully) and by indirectly giving a boost to an association that deserves it. It remains to be seen whether, this year again, PlayStation 5s will be subject to crazy auctions… or if the end of the shortage on game consoles will also push prices to return to normal.
