- The labor dispute between Swiss and its pilots has been settled.
- The members of the Aeropers pilots’ association have accepted the new collective labor agreement (GAV).
- Specifically, 87.4 percent of Aeropers members agreed to the new GAV, as announced by the pilots’ association.
The GAV is now effective retrospectively as of January 1, 2023. However, some points will be introduced with a delay due to staff shortages and necessary programming work.
“The road to the new GAV was very rocky, but the contract accepted by the members today brings benefits for both sides,” said Clemens Kopetz, President of the Aeropers Pilots Association, in a statement.
We will advance various projects so that Swiss can offer future-proof and modern working conditions in the cockpit.
However, not all urgent problems have been satisfactorily resolved. “That’s why we will be pushing ahead with various projects in cooperation with the management of Swiss over the next few years, so that Swiss can offer future-proof and modern working conditions in the cockpit,” Kopetz continues.
