(CercleFinance.com) – Engie Solutions announces that it has selected Lacroix for the development and modernization project of the Chalon-sur-Saône urban heating network, in order to provide connected and intelligent solutions which will initially equip 250 substations .
Announced last November, the amendment concluded for a period of 10 years between Chalon-sur-Saône and Engie Solutions provides for the cessation of gas cogeneration coupled with a low-temperature passage of the network thanks to the modernization of the means of production.
The Chalon Energie heating network will also undergo a renewal and extension of the network representing a total of 11 km and 3,000 housing equivalents served.
With an investment of 25 million euros carried by Engie Solutions, this development will be based on better use of local renewable resources, including wood energy. The ambition is to reduce the territory’s gas consumption by more than 15% and thus avoid the emission of nearly 30,000 tonnes of CO2 each year.
