How Lady Di and Barry Mannakee’s romance began
Diana Spencer reportedly got closer to her personal bodyguard during a fishing trip to Balmoral. During the summer of 1985, the whole little family took advantage of the space and the fresh air of the royal domain. Lady Di was reportedly injured in the eyelid by a fish hook and Prince Charles wanted to continue fishing rather than tend to his wife’s injury. Barry Mannakee would then have accompanied her to the castle for her to be treated.
