Her role in the movie “House of Gucci” was so blatant

Lady Gaga lived as Patrizia Reggiani for the “Gucci” film for over a year and a half – but that also had psychological consequences.
With their Cover story for the British “Vogue” Lady Gaga (35) provided some topics of conversation: In the magazine, her work and personality are captured via pictures and text – what in an exciting nude picture ended and anecdotes like Gaga’s unusual greeting on the set: “Let’s do magic!”
Gaga also talks about her last challenge in the interview: her role as Patrizia Reggiani, formerly Gucci, in Ridley Scott’s (83) new film “House of Gucci”. “I immediately had to dye my hair and began to live in such a way that whatever I looked at, what I touched, I could tell where and when I could see money,” says Gaga, describing her method of acting. “I live as her [Reggiani] for a year and a half. And for nine months of that I spoke with an accent. “Even away from the camera:” I never broke out. I stayed with her. “
Psychological consequences
This persistence in the role of the woman who had her husband killed by a hired man has not always made it easy for her. “I had some psychological problems towards the end of the shoot.”
She was either in the hotel room or on the set – and always in her role. “I remember one day I wanted to go for a walk around Italy with a hat on. I hadn’t taken a walk in two months and I panicked. I thought I was on a movie set.”
The shoot would also have had an impact on her family: “There was silence and separation for a while,” says Gaga.
No meeting with the real Reggiani
As much as Gaga tried to empathize with the character, she never met the real Reggiani. She has now been released after 18 years in prison and is 72 years old. She has already complained to an Italian journalist: “I’m pretty upset that Lady Gaga is playing me in the new Ridley Scott film without even the foresight and sensitivity to meet me.”
Gaga also justifies that in the new interview: She would have preferred to read between the lines and not let herself be influenced: “Means that nobody can tell me who Patrizia Gucci was. Not even Patrizia Gucci.”
In addition to Gaga, the film also features Adam Driver (37), Al Pacino (81), Jeremy Irons (73), Jared Leto (49) and Salma Hayek (55). It is slated to hit theaters on November 24th.
