There are some messages behind the outfit that Lady Gaga wore at Joe Biden's inauguration.

At the inauguration of Joe Biden (78) Lady Gaga (34, "A Star is Born") was allowed to sing the US national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner". She did this in an outfit that perfectly represented both the historical occasion and Gaga's very own style. It was a fitted jacket in navy blue and a voluminous red skirt – an interpretation of the colors of the American flag. The eye-catcher was the huge gold brooch in the shape of a dove that the singer wore over her chest – a symbol of peace. She had braided her hair with a black ribbon in a kind of wreath.

The haute couture piece comes from the Schiaparelli house. "As an American living in Paris, this ensemble is a love letter to the country I miss so much and to an artist whose art I have admired for so long," said Daniel Roseberry, Artistic Director of Schiaparelli. "Maison Schiaparelli is honored to have the opportunity to dress the legendary Lady Gaga on this historic day of inauguration. God bless Lady Gaga and God bless America," the French luxury label said in a statement.
