Has Lady Gaga (36) landed the next big film role? As reported by the “Hollywood Reporter”., the singer is reportedly in talks to star in the ‘Joker’ sequel. Accordingly, Lady Gaga could embody Harley Quinn. According to insiders, Joaquin Phoenix (47) is also in negotiations about his return as Joker. In addition, the sequel is said to be a musical, as the “Hollywood Reporter” further reports.

Last week director Todd Phillips (51) via Instagram announced that there will be a sequel to the Oscar-winning 2019 film. He posted a photo that apparently shows the cover of the script. On a red background are the words: “Joker Folie à Deux, written by Scott Silver and Todd Phillips”. The two were already responsible for the screenplay of the first part. “Folie à deux” is the expression for a common psychotic disorder. Close people develop common delusional ideas.
Another photo in the post shows Joaquin Phoenix immersed in the script, fueling rumors that the actor could reprise his role as the psycho clown. In 2020, the “Joker” brought him the Oscar for “Best Actor”.
