On Saturday 17 September, Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren’s wake was held at Westminster Hall. 15 minutes in which they paid their grandmother a great honor – also fashionable.
A poignant moment in Westminster Hall: Queen Elizabeth’s eight grandchildren, †96, hold a wake for the late Queen. For 15 minutes they positioned themselves around their grandmother’s coffin. Not only did their sad faces speak volumes, the royals also expressed their attachment to their beloved grandmother through their outfits.

Lady Louise, 18, is the Queen’s second youngest grandchild. She was also part of the watch on Saturday night. She entered Westminster Hall in a black dress and with a black headband. With a strained face and pale complexion, she tried to control her emotions. A moment that was visibly difficult for the 18-year-old. Queen Elizabeth and Lady Louise maintained an intimate relationship with each other. Again and again she was called the favorite grandson.

As a child, Lady Louise spent time with her brother James, viscountSevern, 14, spends a lot of time with her grandparents. Her parents Prince Edward, 58, and Countess Sophie von Wessex, 57, tried to survive the childhood of Louise and to make James as normal as possible. But that wasn’t the only reason why she was repeatedly dubbed the favorite granddaughter. Louise and the Queen also shared a particular passion: horseback riding. As a special gesture, Lady Louise also wore a necklace with a silver horse charm at the wake. An emotional tribute that will bring tears to royal fans around the world.

The grandsons also honor the Queen
Not only Lady Louise Windsor used her outfit to pay her last respects to the Queen. After it was announced before the wake that Prince Harry, 38, would be allowed to wear his military uniform for this emotional occasion, many viewers noticed the medals that all four grandsons wore: the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medals. A touching tribute that not only underscores her intimate relationship with the Queen, but also the connection between them.
