Lampeberg BL – 54-year-old dies when a shot is fired

Shortly before 10 p.m., the Basel-Landschaft police received a report that a shot had been fired in a single-family house in Lampenberg, said Adrian Gaugler, media spokesman for the Basel-Landschaft police, in an interview with BRK News. The Basel-Landschaft police, who immediately moved in, subsequently found a 54-year-old man dead in the single-family home. When the police appeared on site, the alleged perpetrator was no longer there.

The exact course of events is the subject of the investigations by the police and the public prosecutor’s office in Basel-Landschaft. Despite an immediate search, the Basel-based police have not yet been able to arrest the alleged perpetrator. We are therefore urgently looking for a young man with a slim stature, around 188 cm tall. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a dark blue winter jacket, black pants and black shoes.

The police ask people who have seen the alleged perpetrator not to speak to him, but to contact the police immediately via the emergency number 112/117.
