A 13-year-old boy fell while sledding in Kleinwalsertal on Thursday. He fell over a five meter high edge into a stream bed and injured himself.
Shortly before 12 p.m., the young person was on his toboggan on the hiking trail in Bärgunttal as a member of a youth group. Suddenly he lost control of the toboggan and went off the path. He fell five meters into the stream bed of the Berguntbach in Kleinwalsertal. Two adult companions rescued him and alerted the mountain rescue service. The rescue workers treated the injured 13-year-old and took him to the hospital in Kempten (Bavaria) by helicopter.
