Landes: They rush on gendarmes to avoid a control

This Sunday, January 2, the gendarmes of Peyrehorade (Landes) had to use their weapons to arrest two individuals who refused to submit to a road check.

At around 4 p.m., the police had spotted a stolen car. They then wanted to carry out a check. They thus asked the driver to stop the vehicle. But as the soldiers approached the vehicle, the driver, who had stopped, started up again and rushed towards the gendarmerie vehicle.

The latter then used their firearm to try to stop the car in the middle of the race. However, they failed to intercept the two fugitives.

A major device has been deployed to find the two individuals. Several brigades, but also a helicopter, motorcycle gendarmes and the gendarmerie surveillance and intervention platoon (PSIG) were called in as reinforcements.
