It’s a hell of a blow for Amandine Pellissard. On May 13, 2022, the mother who participates in the Large Families program, life in XXL announced on social networks that she had to take two of her sons, Charles and Hector, to the neuropediatrician. And as soon as she left her appointment, the mother of eight children was quick to confide in her fans on Instagram. But the news is not so good: “Nothing to say in any case about the care. The doctor was top, but compared to the boys, what emerges […] is that there is indeed a language delay […] and also some small fine motor problems”, she explained.
Amandine Pellissard specifies that “Charles finds it more difficult to stay focused on a task for long. The fact that the two brothers are affected by this same disorder, at around the same age, because they are only a year apart.( …) There, for the doctor, it is necessary to explore the genetic track, [à cause du] fact that several of our children presented these same disorders and delays, at the same age”she said. And they are not the only ones to suffer from a disorder since her daughter Lena also felt some delays, especially when she was in kindergarten. : “she barely spoke” and “had very little vocabulary” according to his mother.

Amandine Pellissard wants to support her children as best she can: “When you are told that your child is not like the others, it is always complicated, even if, indeed, there is more serious, it always hurts to be told that there is a health or development problem! Of course, these little problems are a bit anxiety-provoking. It hurts the heart to see your babies have these problems, when they are so sunny, comfortable in their sneakers, happy with everything ‘they undertake, from what is offered to them, to go to school, to play with their brothers and sisters…’, she explained.
