A 15-year-old triggered a large-scale police operation in the German island town of Lindau on Friday afternoon. A restaurant owner saw the youth dressed in a camouflage suit and an apparent long gun in hand running up and down the street, the police said.
“Of course we have to go immediately,” said an officer from the Lindau Police Department of the Lindauer Zeitung. According to media reports, several patrol cars from Lindau and surrounding offices, as well as the federal police, had arrived.
In the end, it turned out that the young man was not carrying a real rifle, but only a Lego weapon. He was now reported in accordance with the Criminal Code, it said. (SDA)
