Large-scale operation – truck collides with bus near Hartberg: 30 injured

A truck crashed into a touring coach shortly after 10.30 a.m. on Monday morning on the L414 in Tiefenbach, twelve kilometers southwest of Hartberg in Styria. According to initial information from the fire brigade, 30 inmates were injured, five of them seriously. But all are out of danger.

The coach is said to have overturned after the collision with the truck. 25 injured have meanwhile been brought to the surrounding hospitals (LKH Hartberg, Oberwart, Weiz and Graz) by the rescue workers. Three rescue helicopters, two ambulance vehicles, 13 rescue vehicles, a command vehicle and a total of 40 Red Cross helpers are in action. The crisis intervention team is also on site. The large-scale operation is still ongoing. Tiefenbacherstrasse is closed.
