Legendary porn publisher Larry Flynt died at the age of 78, according to US media. In 1974 he founded the magazine "Hustler".

Larry Flynt died in Los Angeles at the age of 78, as reported by "TMZ" on Wednesday (February 10), citing his family. The entrepreneur made a name for himself in the porn industry from the 1970s.

Together with brother Jimmy Flynt (72), he ran several strip clubs from 1970 onwards, before the two of them brought out the "Hustler" magazine from 1974 onwards. It was seen as direct competition to more conservative publications such as Bob Guccione's (1930-2010) "Penthouse" or Hugh Hefner's (1926-2017) "Playboy". Flynt was involved in numerous legal proceedings, in which primarily issues relating to the regulation of pornographic content were heard. In 1978 the publisher and attorney Gene Reeves Jr. were shot outside the Lawrenceville courthouse. Flynt has been in a wheelchair ever since.

In 2017 he declared war on the then US President Donald Trump (74): In the Sunday edition of the Washington Post, he had a full-page advertisement placed in which he made an offer worth millions. He offered up to $ 10 million to anyone who publishes compromising material leading to Trump's impeachment. During the election campaign, he had already offered a million dollars (approx. 820,000 euros) for compromising audio or video files.
