Larry King: Talk legend signs podcast contract

He is one of the ultimate US talk show hosts: Larry King (86) reinvents himself and signs a five million dollar contract for the podcast "The Millionth Question". He explained "Variety" and made an announcement on Instagram. The title of the podcast alludes to King's long career as a talk legend in which he is said to have conducted over 60,000 interviews. That was still his motivation – not the money: "I love interviewing. I've done it my whole life."

He wants these stars

King has already revealed that Mariah Carey (50, "We Belong Together") will be one of the first guests on his new show; even if their management has not yet confirmed this. "We want all sorts of celebrities, including those who became famous through the pandemic." In addition, Michael Jordan (57, "The Last Dance") and Donald Trump (73) are on his wish list, with the latter he would like to lead like with a celebrity and not with a politician.

King had suffered a stroke last year, but has since survived it well. The 60-minute podcast that the newly founded agency 4Forty4 is producing is scheduled to start in mid-June. King will conduct the video call interviews from his home in Los Angeles.
