When Last Oasis was released in March 2020, the problems had already started, so much so that the servers were temporarily closed while offering those who purchased it a refund. Over time, the experience had not really improved, although the developers had added several things. Two and a half years later, Donkey Crew offers its season 5 with a major update, enough to give hope to players.
Indeed, as we can read on Steam, season 5 is “ a complete overhaul of the game on all counts. For example, a large number of users were pointing to the PvP aspect, since it was very difficult to arrive in a world and evolve, given that other players were constantly coming to kill you and collect your resources. This is why PvE is widely put forward, to favor those wishing to play solo or without facing enemy clans. However, PvE will be made a little more difficult.
Content is however added, with new threats, coming from the earth, with in particular the Rupu, who will not hesitate to attack you as soon as they cross your path. An overview of all this is available in video, below.
So far, this update has brought many players back into the experience, peaking at 4,392 concurrent users on Steam after release, while in recent months, the 1,000 player mark has never been reached. simultaneities has not been exceeded. It remains to be seen if the feedback will be good and if it will motivate others to revive Last Oasis.
