Lastman: to complete its season 2, the animated series launches a crowdfunding

Expected for the end of the year on France TV Slash, season 2 of the animated series Lastmanbaptized Lastman Heroes, is on track. But for the project to meet the expectations of creators and fans, a crowdfunding campaign was launched.

And we were able to see the first episode, almost finalized.

A season 2 to join comics

In 2016, Everybody on Deck and Je suis bien content offered on France 4 Lastman, a prequel series to the eponymous comic strip by Bastien Vivès, Michaël Sanlaville and Balak. Appreciated by fans and newcomers alike, especially after its passage through the Netflix box, the series is now ready for its return. Farewell to the 26 11-minute episodes, and hello six 45-minute episodes for Lastman Heroesseason 2.

Each episode will focus on a character (the first being dedicated to Richard), while the puzzle-like plot will take place several years after the end of the events of the first season. Duke, Tomie and some characters from the comics will be there when the broadcast scheduled for the end of the year on France TV Slash will be launched.

Lastman Heroes needs his fans

Headed by Laurent Sarfati on writing and Jérémie Hoarau on production, Lastman Heroes is already in production. The first episode, which we were able to see, is almost finalized, while the following ones are on the right track (we were able to see half of the second in animatic, and the direction taken is… amazing). But, as for the first season, the studio requires financial assistance to properly complete its project.

This is why a crowdfunding campaign was launched on KissKissBankBank. The goal of 150,000 euros is already 40% fulfilled at the time of this writing, and there is still more than a month to reach it. There are of course rewards for contributors, such as an artbook, a t-shirt, a poster, DVD/Blu-Ray or vinyl (Avril and Monthaye are back in music).
