(CercleFinance.com) – Latecoere announced on Thursday that it had been selected to design and produce the composite passenger door for the next HondaJet, Honda’s brand new light jet.
The aeronautical equipment manufacturer indicates that it has been selected by the Japanese group as responsible for the design, qualification, certification and mass production of the door.
The new jet, which seats up to 11 people and can be flown by a single pilot, is expected to deliver up to 20% better fuel efficiency than conventional light jets, and more than 40% better than midsize jets .
Honda is aiming for certification by 2028 for its new light jet.
