The platform, intended for people who have been victims of sexual violence or incest during childhood, has a dual objective: to precisely document the mechanisms of incest and sexual violence, which affect around 160,000 minors each year. , and ultimately make recommendations to the authorities for better protection. The responses to a questionnaire sent to victims, available on the site, will feed this work.

“It is the very vocation of the commission to offer a space of speech, of gathering to people victims of sexual violence during childhood and to their relatives, and to push this consideration until making this speech the basis of the development of public policies ”, considers the magistrate Edouard Durand, co-president of Ciivise with Nathalie Mathieu, director of a reception structure specializing in the care of victims of incest.

Two structures at the end of the line

As of Tuesday, the new telephone line will therefore be accessible. At the end of the line, to accomplish this delicate mission, the commission chose two specialized structures: SOS Kriz for overseas territories and the Feminist Collective Against Rape (CFCV) in metropolitan France, both endowed with ‘listeners specially trained in collecting accounts of victims. “We offer specialized listening, explains Emmanuelle Piet, president of the CFCV, which manages the issue of Viols femmes information since 1986. This means not to question what the person says, for whom the process is already difficult enough, to identify with him in what trap he found himself, because of the strategy of the aggressor that we know well, and him offer referral to partner associations if needed. “

At present, “Between 50% and 60% of calls” received at Rape women information already concerns violence committed during childhood, she says. With the new line, entitled Sexual violence during childhood (accessible from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.), one of the challenges will also be to collect the voices of men, “Who are less victims of it but also who talk about it less”. To encourage victims to “To come out of silence”, several personalities concerned appear in short videos uploaded on the Ciivise YouTube page. Television presenter Flavie Flament, artist Mai Lan Chapiron and former rugby player Sébastien Boueilh bear witness, in a few words, to their own history.
