Laurel Goodwin, the actress who starred with Elvis in Girls! Girls! Girls! was in front of the camera and had a “Star Trek” role is dead.

Laurel Goodwin is dead. The US actress died on February 25 at the age of 79 in California, according to an obituary published by her family. The cause of death was not made public. Laurel Goodwin became known through the film “Girls! Girls! Girls!” from 1962. In the film she starred alongside Elvis Presley (1935-1977). It was the actress’ first major appearance on screen.

Another milestone in her career was the role of Yeoman JM Colt, which she played alongside Jeffrey Hunter (1926-1969) as Captain Pike in the science fiction film The Cage – the series’ pilot filmed in 1964 but not released until 1988 “Star Trek”. In 1971, after several film and TV roles, Goodwin ended her acting career.

She stayed true to the industry

However, she continued to work behind the camera with her husband, film producer Walter Wood. Among other things, the couple produced the 1983 film “The Frenzied Gockel” starring Burt Reynolds (1936-2018) and Loni Anderson (76).
