Only a few weeks after his departure from BFMTV, Laurent Ruquier will join the ranks of TF1. The RTL host has agreed to join one of the star shows of the first channel in a very special position.
Former emblematic face of France 2, where he worked for more than 20 years, Laurent Ruquier had chosen to leave the public channel during the last audiovisual transfer window. Tired of seeing the number of his shows reduce in recent years, the host decided to look elsewhere. Contacted by TF1, Laurent Ruquier finally preferred to take on a new challenge by joining the BFMTV news channel, directed by Marc-Olivier Fogiel. At the helm of a daily show with journalist Julie Hammett, the host officiated on BFMTV from Monday to Thursday from 8 p.m. Unfortunately, the experiment was a failure.
Indeed, after only three months spent with BFMTV, Laurent Ruquier announced his departure from the news channel. The former host of France 2 has never managed to find his audience. However, the former presenter of On n’est pas couch will finally bounce back to TF1. According to information revealed by The Parisian Friday January 5, 2024, the host of RTL’s Grosses Têtes will join the jury of the next season of Mask Singer entertainment. For the record, Laurent Ruquier knows this show very well, given that he was one of the program’s candidates in the past. He even occasionally joined the Mask Singer jury for one issue.
