OnePlus is expected to announce a new smart phone
mid-range coming soon: the Nord 3. A flagship which should be affordable without compromising on power.
New leaks seem to confirm this desire of the manufacturer. However, the first elements of the technical sheet are reminiscent of one of its competitors in this segment.
A powerful smartphone at an attractive price
There is an air of deja vu in the technical sheet of the OnePlus Nord 3. A flagship which is part of the manufacturer’s vision: to offer powerful smartphones at attractive prices. According to the well-informed Digital Chat Station, the next OnePlus phone would mark the break with its predecessor. Already by his stature. The leaker announces a larger and smoother smartphone than the Nord 2, which is content with a frequency of 90 Hz. The OnePlus Nord 3 would be equipped with a 6.7-inch Amoled screen in FullHD + with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
In the center of the screen, behind the punch, there would be a sensor dedicated to 16 megapixel selfies. The photo block meanwhile would accommodate a Sony IMX766 main sensor of 50 megapixels (f / 1.8), an ultra wide-angle sensor of 8 megapixels and a possible 2 megapixel sensor for monochromes.
A Dimensity 8100 chip and 150W charging
Nestled inside, a MediaTek Dimensity 8100. A mid-range SoC less efficient than the Dimensity 9000, but which announces more powerful performance than its competitors in this segment. It will be accompanied by 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. A 150 W load would also be part of the trip, which should fill the device’s 4500 mAh battery in a flash. A promising technical sheet on paper and which should appeal to those reluctant to buy a premium smartphone, but which is reminiscent of another mid-range phone to come.
A MediaTek Dimensity 8100 and 150W ultra-fast charging, does that ring a bell? These are exactly the specs expected for the Realme GT Neo 3, which claims to be “ the fastest charging in the world thanks to the UltraDart Charging Architecture (UDCA) which allows it to be recharged to 50% in 5 minutes. The GT Neo 3 will launch on March 22 in China and later in Europe. For its part, the OnePlus Nord 3 should be announced during the spring. We should therefore not wait too long before knowing more.
