Le Bigdil: “We never talked about it”, chilling confidence 18 years later on a serious incident on set

During an interview for Télépro, Gilles Vautier, who embodied the extraterrestrial in Bigdil, returned to a chilling anecdote.

This show rocked several generations. For many years, Le Bigdil was the heyday of TF1. Presented by Vincent Lagaf’, the program featured an extraterrestrial, interpreted by Gilles Vautier. The latter also granted an interview to Télépro. And he makes some pretty startling revelations about one of the shoots. “We were kept secret for a long time, but there was a fire at Bigdil one day”, he begins by evoking. And the filming could have turned into a tragedy. “It was quite impressive. There were paper pineapples flaming and the candidate had to put it out.”

But nothing went as planned : “But he didn’t make it and the firefighter came. He said, ‘I’ve got everything under control.’ And nothing at all, the fire was starting to spread and I see everyone fleeing. I was harnessed (…) For 3, 4 minutes, it was quite scary and then we never talked about because we didn’t want it to be known.” This interview was also an opportunity for the person who embodied the extraterrestrial to come back to a possible return of Bigdil to the air. : “Herve Hubert [le producteur, NDLR] bought out the rights to Bigdil. He talked to me about it and he asked my opinion. he confides.

Soon the return of Bigdil?

And fans will be happy: “Doing a Bigdil shot again would be very funny. It won’t be a daily show. Officially, I’m not aware of anything. I just know that the producer bought the rights. If we resume this show, it would be a format premium in my opinion”did he declare. In a few months, maybe the Bigdil will return to the air. In any case, this is what fans of the program wholeheartedly hope for, moderated by Vincent Lagaf’.
