Le Havre: the police fire on a vehicle after a refusal to comply


As part of an anti-drug operation carried out by the Judicial Police of Le Havre (Seine-Maritime) this Tuesday, April 26 in the morning, a police officer fired several shots at the car of a fugitive.

In collaboration with the BRI, the Rouen PJ undertook an anti-drug operation on Tuesday targeting the industrial port area of ​​Le Havre. The intervention, which took place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, quickly went wrong.

On a video shared on social networks, we can indeed see a suspect manage to flee, before a member of the police uses his service weapon, without managing to touch him.

Suspect arrested

According to a police source contacted by CNEWS, the police officer fired after the suspect refused to comply.

According to the same source, a vehicle was finally able to be stopped and its driver was taken into custody. Other suspects are also on the run.

If the operation has obviously taken a turn different from what the police expected, no injuries are to be deplored and drugs were discovered during the intervention.
