“Le temps de l’amour” taken up by a former Dancing with the Stars candidate for a strong tribute

On June 20, we paid tribute to Francoise Hardy at the Père Lachaise cemetery, a little over a week after his son Thomas Dutronc had announced his death on social networks through a heartbreaking message. Many personalities gathered for the occasion, including political figures such as the First Lady Brigitte Macron – boo -, but also and above all artists including Laurent Voulzy, Matthieu and Louis Chedid, Jacques Dutronc of course, but also Etienne Daho and Sheila who had both shared moving testimonies of their pain on social networks.

The interpreter of So many beautiful things who died at the age of 80, died of cancer which she had spoken about on several occasions, was cremated and her ashes were to be scattered in a place that meant a lot to her. However, as several political figures including Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and Marine Le Pen have recalled, no one will forget him and his mark on French song remains indelible. So much so that we wanted to pay tribute to him again on France 2 on June 22, on the occasion of the concert organized in Reims for the 2024 Music Festival.

During an interview given to France Blue which broadcast in parallel with France 2 recording the show, Cœur de Pirate explained the impact of Françoise Hardy’s repertoire on her career and her artistic sensitivity. “When I reconnected with singing in French, I listened to Françoise Hardy. It was my introduction to the yéyés period. It was my transition to music in French as I could imagine doing it”she said with a certain enthusiasm.

The busy year 2024 for Coeur de Pirate

The year 2024 of Cœur de Pirate got off to a flying start with its participation in the competition Dance with the stars of TF1. The mother of Romy and Arlo walked on the floor on the arm of Nicolas Archambault, but she was also quickly eliminated after Caroline Margeridon. Coeur de Pirate plans to return to France very soon since she has detailed her program for the coming months. The artist will return to concert halls for a tour which will start on October 9. Two concerts are notably planned at the Folies Bergères on October 12 and 13.
