According to information from our colleagues from the magazine “Télérama”, the journalist and presenter Léa Salamé chooses to give up one of her programs on France 2. The one who had been elected “Best interviewer of the year 2015” had already announced that she could not continue all her media activities at the start of the school year.

The verdict is in: Léa Salamé renounces the presentation of The Political Program on France 2. The journalist had already announced that she could not continue all her media activities at the start of the school year. It is therefore at the main political meeting of France Télévisions (which she has hosted and co-hosted since September 2016) that she renounces, according to information revealed by our colleagues from the magazine Telerama.

Negotiations still ongoing

It must be said that Léa Salamé will already be busy with other professional activities. The one who had been elected “Best interviewer of the year 2015” should continue to co-present the morning radio station of France Inter. She will also present We are in direct, France 2’s Saturday evening talk show. Léa Salamé has co-hosted the show with Laurent Ruquier since September 2021. She will now be alone at the helm.

Caroline Roux would be favorite to succeed Léa Salamé at the head of The Political Program. The journalist is a great accustomed to the exercise: it is she who questions politicians every day in Telematin. Caroline Roux also leads the current affairs debate program C in the airfrom Monday to Thursday on France 5. The negotiations are however still in progress according to Teleramaand the arrival of Caroline Roux in The Political Program would not yet be enacted.
