Léa Salamé: why the journalist will ask Marine Le Pen the color of her jacket before the debate

This Wednesday, April 20, the debate between the two rounds will take place, broadcast simultaneously on TF1 and France 2. For this exceptional event, Gilles Bouleau and Léa Salamé have been appointed to arbitrate the exchanges. In an interview with Le Parisien this Saturday, April 16, the journalist revealed that she was going to ask Marine Le Pen before the debate what color her jacket would be, for a rather surprising reason.

A debate that can change everything. This Wednesday, April 20, Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen will face each other for the traditional between rounds debate. A moment that can be decisive a few days before the second round of the 2022 presidential election. This debate will be broadcast simultaneously on TF1 and France 2and to arbitrate the exchanges, each of the channels has appointed one of their journalists: Gilles Bouleau for La Une and Lea Salame for the public channel.

A few days before entering the arena, the two journalists granted an interview to the Parisian to explain how they had prepared and what the stakes of this meeting were for them and for the two candidates.

Léa Salamé: “Every micro detail is discussed”

On this occasion, they also explained that everything had to be settled like music paper upstream so that the debate goes as well as possible. “There are questions about the temperature, the shape of the desks where the candidates will be installed, whether they will be standing or sitting, on the cutting plans, the distance between them – which should be reduced – and that with us. A debate is also won on form. Every micro detail is discussed. And that doesn’t shock me because they are gambling their lives and the future of a country. They can’t leave anything to chance. A candidate who sweats, who is badly seated, goes in disfavour”, indicated Léa Salamé with our colleagues. Details that can go a long way, as confirmed by Gille Bouleau, assuring that “everything counts“: “The clothes, the posture, the gestural language, the notes that we have or not, the pen that we hold or not, the color of the watch, of the tie”said the presenter of TF1.

A dress that is also very important for Léa Salamé, who has planned to contact the candidate of the National Rally to ask her a little question. “Me, I’m going to ask the color of Marine Le Pen’s jacket so as not to wear the same one”, said the companion of Raphaël Glucksmann. Leave nothing to chance.
