Wild BVB bulls trample over Eintracht

On the last day of the game, Borussia Dortmund’s world collapsed again. In Stuttgart, the team inexplicably collapses. A week later the opposite: After FC Bayern’s disgrace in Mainz, BVB stormed uninhibitedly to the top of the table.
The fans sang about the German championship well before the final whistle – and this time the pros from Borussia Dortmund were also able to enjoy the final minutes of the game. The 4:0 (3:0) against Eintracht Frankfurt was no longer in danger and puts the black and yellow back in pole position in the title race: just a week after the capital slump in Stuttgart, the Bundesliga leaders come from Dortmund. “This victory feels very good today. That’s how we have to play if we want to be up front in the end. The table looks pretty good now,” said sports director Sebastian Kehl on the Sky microphone. He smiled.
The team coached by Edin Terzic took advantage of the next blunder from serial champion FC Bayern and held all the championship trumps with five games to go with a one-point lead. “We showed a really good game and were very grippy,” said the coach. “We made a really great step, but nothing more.” While the fans euphorically celebrated the jump to the top, the players were a little more reserved. “The championship is still a long way off. We still have to win five games,” warned BVB keeper Gregor Kobel.

Dortmund stayed on the accelerator after the break. Bellingham almost increased (48th), Malen failed after an hour to Trapp. The guests almost didn’t play offensively anymore, BVB had an easy game. Malen used a pass from Adeyemi to score the fourth goal – and the master chants in the completely euphoric ranks grew louder and louder.
