Like all tech companies, Samsung bows to the exercise of annual or biannual conferences, but this year again, leaks are in the game!
The presentation ceremonies with great fanfare of the various companies in the tech market are an obligatory ritual. To announce the release of a new smartphone, the custom is that a major event be organized, at the height of innovation! But in recent years, it seems difficult to keep the secret to the end and Samsung is not immune to information leaks.
The look of the brand’s new smartphones unveiled
The Samsung Unpacked is scheduled for August 10, but the visuals of the devices that will be presented there are already known. These are the photos from the press kit presented to us by journalist Evan Blass. Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Watch 5, Watch 5 Pro, Galaxy Buds 2 and their accessories: it’s all there.
But the stars of this event, teased by Samsung for a few weeks, are undeniably the brand’s foldable smartphones. The Z Fold 4 and the Z Flip 4, in the figurehead, sport this new type of screen. This innovation has put Samsung at the forefront of research into what may be the future of mobile telephony.
However, no revolution this year in terms of the look of the devices. For the Z Fold 4, Samsung seems to have copied and pasted the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but with new colors. We find the classic black, but exit the Phantom Green or the Phantom Silver. To replace these two colors, it would seem that an anthracite gray and a golden beige are offered, certainly under other names.
As for the Z Flip 4, the design of the Z Flip 3 remains unchanged. On the color side, only the green becomes light blue. To believe that green has not convinced consumers, whether it is the Z Fold or the Z Flip!
The whole universe of wearables also updated
As for connected watches, the range is evolving. The “Classic” finish, more upscale than the Galaxy Watch, is replaced by a “Pro” iteration. This new version of the accessory under WearOS should be available in two colors: gray / sand and black. As a reminder, the technical sheet of this Galaxy Watch 5 Pro had already leaked a few days ago and suggested a reference in the making.
For the entry-level Galaxy Watch, we don’t have more information on the technical data sheet, but the design does not seem to have been upset. The 40 mm models will be entitled to the colors black, lavender or beige / gold instead of the current colors black, silver and rose gold. For the 44mm watches, the black and silver remain, but the green is replaced by blue, as for the Z Flip 4.
Finally, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will also be in the spotlight. The new high-end version of Samsung’s wireless headphones was particularly awaited and benefits from a design that is closer to the already existing Buds 2. As for the colors, we will be entitled to the usual black, white and purple that the brand offers on almost all of its mobile products.
Thanks to WinFuture, the technical sheet has also been unveiled. On the menu: Bluetooth 5.3, several microphones, intelligent noise cancellation, IPX7 certification for waterproofing, an 8-hour battery in a single use and 29 hours with the charging case. The headphones would be available for sale from August 26 for 229 euros in Europe.
