The snowball effect around the leak of Grand Theft Auto VI and its hacker is still upsetting. Yesterday, a tweeter user blasted what he was selling as Red Dead Redemption remaster leaks: his post literally exploded, but if they were fake images.
As soon as we touch a little too close to Rockstar and licenses GTA Where RDR, everything takes on a rather phenomenal scale. The user behind the account Red Dead Redemption Remastered must have realized this when he woke up this morning : More than 20k likes to his tweet, publications which took it up by taking it for proven facts and obviously, thousands of reactions to the message. According to him, however, it was only a “joke”, but the wording, the publication a few hours after the GTA 6 leaks and the fact that the author left the message online, rather suggest a coup. “easy” pub for his modding work on RDR.
Red Dead Redemption: Fakes of the remaster for the joke
The creator of the post quickly returned this afternoon to his original tweet: these images of a “fake” Red Dead Redemption remaster are actually taken from a graphics mod he is working on from an emulated version of the game. Unfortunately his reaction came a bit too late. The snowball effect has already done its job and sites have taken over the tweet below to spread the false images it contains. A bit like the Rockstar Hacker, the tweetos did not really measure the impact that his little joke could have, while R* is facing the biggest leak in its entire history.
Rockstar comes out of the woodwork
We were obviously waiting for a response from Rockstar since it was confirmed that these were really working materials for the development teams. Take Two has already started removing gameplay videos in the wild, but an official press release was also released recently and it is ultimately quite reassuring about the future of the brand’s games: no disruption in the operation of their service games is to be deplored and the development of Grand Theft Auto VI should continue normally. Rockstar still plans to unveil the game when they deem it ready for it. For more details, we invite you to read the article below:
