LeBron James Named Worst Actor at Razzie Awards for Space Jam 2

If Lebron James is unanimous on the courts as a basketball genius, the NBA champion obviously did not seduce with his role in Space Jam: New Era released last year. The athlete was awarded the Razzie Award for “worst actor” of the year for his “poor performance” on the night of Friday, March 25.

Known for rewarding the worst films of the year, the Razzie Awards seem to have wanted to honor the Space Jam sequel since the film starring the NBA star and Warner Bros. toons. (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck…) won three trophies. LeBron James, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, is singled out as Michael Jordan was in his time for the first Space Jam (1996). The organizers of the Razzie Awards described the film as “a 115-minute long commercial for all things WarnerMedia produced.”

But Space Jam: New Era didn’t hold the Razzie Awards record this year. It is the feature film Diana: The Musical, broadcast on Netflix, which was rewarded with five trophies including that of the “worst film” and the worst actress for Jeanna de Waal who plays the late princess.

Bruce Willis ‘honored’

Actor Bruce Willis received an honorary Razzie specially created to distinguish him for his “worst performances in a film of 2021”. Chaining the nanars in recent years, Bruce Willis has again been noticed for the science fiction film “Cosmic Sin”, one of the worst on the Prime Video platform.

The Razzie Awards ceremony traditionally precedes the Oscars which will take place on the night of Sunday March 27 to Monday March 28.
