More than a year after leaving North America, Xerxe returns to the LEC with Astralis.

Changes continue at Astralis for the upcoming LEC Summer Split. Once again out of the playoffs and at the bottom of the regular season standings, the Danish structure has finally decided to invest in a competitive roster. After the departures announced at the end of the Split of Matti “WhiteKnight” Sormunen and Hampus “Promisq” Abrahamsson then Nikolay “Zanzarah” Akatov’s a few days ago, it’s time for arrival announcements.

This Monday, we learned that Kiss “Vizicsacsi” Tamás will be the new toplaner and this Tuesday, it’s Andrei “Xerxe” Dragomir’s turn to be made official. The Romanian jungler returns to Europe more than a year later his departure from Immortals. He returns to a structure he briefly knew in 2020 when it changed its name fromOrigin to Astralis. At the time, he had left the Old Continent whenhe was one of the best at his job.

Today, he returns with doubts about his performance as he finished in tenth place in the LCS and he didn’t particularly shine. However, if he manages to regain his former level, he should be a real improvement over Zanzarah who was clearly not at the level since his arrival. To see now if he will manage to raise Astralis in the standings and maybe finally find the playoffs for a structure that has never participated since the rebranding of Origen for Astralis.
