At the end of March 2022, Axie Infinity was the victim of a major hack, the losses of which are estimated at more than $625 million. An event that reminded many that the crypto-sphere is a favorite prey for hackers, who attack not only crypto wallets but also NFT-based games. Nobody is safe from a raid, theft or a scam. To raise awareness among followers of the metaverse and digital currencies, the two references in these sectors will join forces to educate users on the security of crypto-currencies.

Through this partnership, Ledger and The Sandbox will carry out several security education and prevention actions directly in the game’s metaverse. Their concrete form has not been disclosed. The French brand, on the other hand, will have 36 virtual plots of land on which it will create educational play to earn games. At the same time, it will provide personalized Ledger Nanos to owners of SAND tokens, specific to The Sandbox.
