Legislative 2022: Marine Le Pen reveals her objectives and future ambitions

Asked about her future, Marine Le Pen confided in an interview with Figaro that, “a priori”, that is to say “except for exceptional events”, she will not be a new presidential candidate in 2027.

“A priori, I think that three presidential elections is already a journey,” said the head of the RN, wishing “to see a new elite emerge” in her camp.

Candidate on the other hand for a new mandate as deputy of Pas-de-Calais, Marine Le Pen still sets her objectives: to obtain “at least 60 deputies” from the National Rally in the legislative elections of next June in order to have the means to be able to weigh in the future National Assembly.

“My ambition is to obtain the translation of the presidential election,” said the candidate who reached the second round, in an interview published this Saturday in Le Figaro.

According to her, RN voters “are mobilized with the wish to go and vote”, and think they can “have very good surprises” in the polls of June 12 and 19, even if “it is very difficult today to assess the number of elected deputies.

“It’s not just about having a group, but about having all the means that are available to the opposition in a living democracy. Like, for example, the power to seize the Constitutional Council. Which means at least sixty deputies”, she specifies.

Reconquest/RN, an impossible alliance?

This Saturday, Marine Le Pen also wished to justify the decision not to conclude an agreement with Reconquest, the party of Eric Zemmour, by “too significant strategic differences”.

“We have a historic responsibility: not to let a part of the French fall into the hands of racialists, indigenists and wokists who explain to the worker on the minimum wage that he is an oppressor. We want to bring together, at the same time, the voters of the national camp, the patriots on the left and the Bonapartist right. Éric Zemmour abandons a whole part of this electorate to Jean-Luc Mélenchon”, she castigated.

The one, who wishes to keep her status as the first opponent to Emmanuel Macron alone, has planned to criss-cross her constituency throughout the weekend.
