Ten days before the first round of legislative elections, certain programs are starting to see the light of day. On the RN side, few details are filtering through, but there are some avenues on governance. Marine Le Pen revealed some of them in the columns of “Le Monde”.

A sentence that perhaps says more than it seems. “We don’t forbid ourselves anything,” explains Marine Le Pen in the columns of Le Monde. In other words, the door is open to personalities from outside the National Rally, in the logic of a national unity government after the legislative elections, as defended by Jordan Bardella.

With a relative majority, “we could not pass a single measure”

In Matignon, the head of the National Rally will choose the most competent people “who share our philosophy”, summarizes Marine Le Pen, who maintains that Jordan Bardella will only accept the post if he holds an absolute majority in the National Assembly . With a relative majority, “we could not pass a single measure”, justifies the outgoing MP for Pas-de-Calais. “We would have a motion of censure within 48 hours, it would have neither tail nor head.”

But how does she imagine her role in this system? Not in government anyway. Marine Le Pen sees herself retaining the presidency of the group of National Rally deputies in the Assembly. “Being a minister does not allow me to continue working on my presidential stature,” she confides. Because that is indeed its objective. After these legislative elections, Marine Le Pen does not look away from the Élysée.
